As beautifully reminded in the Qur’an:
“O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another.” (Qur’an 49:13)
AASSG Cultural Day is an annual event organised by the PSHE department and was a vibrant celebration of exactly that message- unity in diversity.
Each class was assigned a different country to research, explore, and bring to life. Students immersed themselves in discovering traditions, landmarks, history, language, and cultural practices from around the world, then transformed their learning into creative, interactive displays filled with information, artefacts, quizzes, and engaging activities for others to enjoy.
The school was alive with colour and pride as students arrived dressed in clothing representing cultures from across the globe. From elegant traditional wear to bold and joyful national dress, the diversity on display was truly beautiful, MashaAllah. It was a powerful reminder of how rich and varied our world is.
After a day filled with learning, exploration, fun, and games, everyone came together to share something equally special—food!
Students enjoyed a wonderful spread of cuisines from around the world, sampling flavours that reflected cultures of the world.
What a truly amazing, diverse, and delicious event—one that brought learning to life and highlighted the beauty of coming together as one global community. AlhumduLillah.
