Once again, Al-Ashraf Secondary proudly took part in Charity Week 2025, a chance for pupils to give back, unite as a community, and embody the Islamic values of compassion and generosity.
During the week (Monday 20th – Thursday 23rd October), pupils participated in a variety of fundraising activities in support of Ummah Welfare Trust’s Gaza Appeal, WWF’s environmental work, and ongoing school initiatives.
The atmosphere was lively and full of spirit as pupils baked delicious treats, dressed up for themed non-uniform days, and took part in a friendly netball tournament — all with the intention of earning reward through charity.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Charity does not decrease wealth.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, 2588)
He ﷺ also said:
“Whoever makes things easy for one who is in hardship, Allah will make things easy for him in this world and the Hereafter.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, 2699)
These teachings inspired our pupils to give with sincerity and compassion, recognising that helping others is a means of earning Allah’s mercy.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who supported Charity Week. May Allah ﷻ accept these efforts, bless our community with sincerity, and grant relief and strength to the people of Gaza and Palestine — Āmīn.
Alhumdulillah, we raised an impressive £1262.65 for Gaza and £51.93 for WWW.
